Come join us for the silver anniversary of CACEE’s annual conference golf event!

This year we are excited to be playing at one of Atlantic Canada's premiere golf destinations, Glen Arbour Golf Course, located only 20 minutes from downtown Halifax.
At 6800 yards in length, this golf course may not be long by today’s standard, but the combination of natural hazards, elevation changes and tricky bent grass greens will provide a fun challenge for players of all skill levels. A relatively young course, Glen Arbour has played host to many celebrities with highlights being the inaugural Wayne Gretzky and Friend’s Invitational and the BMO Canadian Ladies Open in 2005.
Whether you are looking to build your network, reconnecting with CACEE friends, or just get out and play golf, come and enjoy a relaxing game with us in the spirit of good fun.

Bus tour to Peggy’s Cove

Departure time: 10:00 a.m. – 1:30pm
Location: Lobby of The Westin Nova Scotian Hotel, Halifax
Cost: $55

Come join us for a 3.5 hour bus tour to Peggy’s Cove.  As you travel from the commercial downtown area, through the residential districts before leaving town via the Northwest Arm.  Travel along the Lighthouse Route, to take in the picture-perfect scenery of the South Shore.  You will arrive approximately 45 minutes later at Peggy’s Cove, which has been an artists’ and explorers’ paradise for well over 150 years.  This village is located right on the rugged Atlantic shoreline, standing on solid rock above the crashing surf.  The coastline is famous for pirates, shipwrecks, rumrunning and sunsets. You can walk along the moody cove and village, featuring the weatherworn fishing shacks (complete with colourful buoys and lobster traps) still used by local fishermen, and awe-inspiring rock formations that have been carved out by the glaciers of the last Ice Age.  You will also view the famous sculpture created by local resident William deGarthe – a beautiful granite carving which depicts the life and people of the area. Afterwards you’ll have time to wander the rocks and browse through the souvenir shops, before boarding your coach for the return trip to Halifax.  Lastly, don’t forget to mail a postcard at the Post Office in the Lighthouse considered by many to be the most photographed lighthouse in the world!
