Cupples Cup

Purpose:

  • The Cupples Cup was inaugurated by the National Board in 1970 and represents the spirit of camaraderie among members for which CACEE is known. This award was named in honour of CACEE member, Colleen Cupples, who truly exemplified all of these qualities. The Cupples Cup represents the three underlying ideals necessary to have a successful conference: Vim, Vigor and Vitality.
  • The Cupples Cup is one of the most prestigious awards given out at the conference and the names of the winners that surround this award represent some of the most dedicated and hard-working volunteers that CACEE has seen.
  • The Cup recognizes a National Conference delegate who goes above and beyond; a delegate who makes an effort to get to know as many people as possible. The Cupples Cup exists to recognize the energy, enthusiasm and high social involvement that one contributes to the National Conference.

Criteria:

  • Has the individual made a significant contribution to the National Conference through his/her energy, enthusiasm and high social involvement to the event?

Students’ Choice Awards – The Best Career Fair Employer

Purpose:

  • To nationally recognize four employers (one in each CACEE region - Quebec, Atlantic, Western and Ontario), member or non-member of CACEE, for their work in campus recruitment.  The Students’ Choice Awards are intended to: give students a national voice and a way to become directly involved with CACEE; support student involvement at career fairs; and recognize employers who participate in career fairs.

Criteria:

  • The Students’ Choice Awards recognize participation in Career Fairs that run from September 1st 2009 to March 31st 2010.
  • Career Centres who participate ask their students: ‘Which employer impressed you the most at the career fair, and why?’
  • The greatest number of votes for an employer in each Region determines the winner in that Region.

Since this Award is chosen by students, you cannot nominate a company.  However, if you are career centre and run a career fair that takes place by March 31st 2010, please contact Catherine Stace, catherine.stace@mcgill.ca for further information.
