ace on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at The Ted Rogers School of Management,
Ryerson University and will be attended by over 120 employers, career s
ervices professionals and co-op educators.  Join CACEE for a full day o
f professional development and industry networking, along with thought-p
rovoking speaker presentations. The 2015 Ontario Regional Conference is
 a can’t-miss industry event!\n\n--------------------------------------

 ration & Networking Breakfast\n\n9:15 AM– Conference Opening\n\n9:30 A
M – Quick Hits Plenaries\n\nWe asked for some of the hot topics on you
r mind – and, you delivered.  CACEE is pleased to kick-off the 2015 O
ntario Regional Conference with a series of Quick Hit sessions that will
tackle some of the ‘game changing’ issues that are at the forefront
of the campus recruitment space.\n\nEach session will involve a 20 minu
te presentation from a renowned thought leader and expert on the topic,
followed by 10 minute Q & A sessions moderated by our conference co-chai
rs.  Four sessions in all will make for a great kick start to our learn
ing and key takeaways for the day.\n\nTopics include:  Generation Z, Re
cruitment and Talent Management in a Global Marketplace, Innovation in G
raduate Recruitment Programs, and Positioning Career Services as a Criti
 cal Partner in Post-Secondary Institutions.\n\n12:15 PM– Lunch\n\n1:00
PM – Employability Skills Gap Panel\n\nCanadian employers, large and
small, report that they are having a hard time finding entry-level candi
dates with the skills they seek. Meanwhile, Canada’s youth are experie
ncing an unemployment rate twice as high as the rate for the general pop
ulation. At face value, it would seem that the solution to one problem l
ies in the solution to the other, but it isn’t that simple. Employers
will tell you that graduates lack the skills needed in the contemporary
workforce. As the economy improves they expect this challenge will persi
st and possibly worsen. On the other hand, colleges and universities are
producing more graduates than ever from a broad range of programs. What
’s missing? What can be done?\n\nRepresentatives of the Canadian Counc
il of Chief Executives, the Canadian Federation of Independent Businesse
s and the Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario will report on res
earch done by each organization on the subject of employer needs and wha
t might be done to better connect talent with opportunity.  \n\n2:00 PM

rtunity for a deeper dive with your colleagues into one of four areas th
at are at the forefront of campus recruitment and career education.   E
ach ‘breakout’ will be facilitated by a passionate career educator o
r employer using a unique format and style to maximize the learning and
