In support of the larger goals of the University Experiential Education Strategic Plan, the Experiential Education Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of academic and operational activities of Experiential Education (EE) including the design, development, implementation and evaluation of EE initiatives (course focused, community focused, work-focused, in the classroom or online), and any other EE activities for the Faculty of Health.
Reporting to the Director, Global and Community Partnerships, the EE Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the development of the Faculty of Health community partnerships that are mutually beneficial and foster student engagement through linking theory and practice and providing opportunities for practical experience related to areas of study.
Education -
University Degree in a related field or four years recent experience (defined as within the last five years) working at York University performing the same or similar tasks. This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlined below.
Experience -
Two (2) years recent experience (as defined within the last 5 years) coordinating a post-secondary EE program (i.e. in course EE, practicums), using a Student Information System and/or similar database/customer relationship management system.
