2023 CACEE Awards

Each year, the CACEE community recognizes innovation, thought leadership, outstanding achievement and the contributions of dedicated volunteers across the country through our awards program.

The nomination period for the 2023 CACEE Awards is now open! Nominations are invited for the following Award Categories which are voted upon and determined by the CACEE membership:

Rob Shea Research Award

Nominations will close at 5:00 pm Eastern on November 6th, 2023.

Award recipients will be announced and celebrated at the 2023 CACEE National Conference being hosted December 4th - 6th at the BMO - Institute for Learning (IFL) in Toronto, ON. CACEE will also celebrate award winners on its website and social media platforms.

New this Year -

Nominees in the Excellence in Innovation and Rob Shea Research Award Categories also have the opportunity to profile their work in a Poster Session in a unique and dedicated showcase as a part of the conference program and on the conference app.

What is the Process for Submitting a Nomination?

Step 1 -

Complete the nomination form below by 5:00 pm Eastern on November 6th, 2023.

The process is intended to be straight forward and seamless, and provide an opportunity to highlight why this particular nominee is exceptional!

Be sure to include: specific examples, metrics/outcomes, links to resources, PDFs or websites, testimonials/feedback and details which showcase the work of your nominee as a part of the nomination.

You may find it helpful to collaborate with your colleagues or the nominee themselves to support you in rounding out the nomination. The Awards Guide and FAQ is also a great resource to help you craft a meaningful and fulsome nomination.

Step 2 -

The Member Engagement and Awards Committee will review submissions to confirm eligibility and ensure they are complete. You may be contacted to answer a few questions or offer any clarifications needed as a part of this process.

Nominations in the Excellence in Innovation and Rob Shea Research Award Categories are also be invited to profile their work as a part of a dedicated showcase on Tuesday, December 5th, 2023 as a part of the CACEE National Conference and/or on the Conference App.

Step 3 -

For awards being determined by a vote of the CACEE membership, voting will take place November 8th - November 10th 2023. All nominators will be notified of the results by November 13th, 2023.

Step 4 -

Award recipients will be announced and celebrated at the 2023 CACEE National Conference at the President's Luncheon and 2023 CACEE Awards on Tuesday, December 5th, 2023. CACEE also celebrates award winners on its website and social media platforms.

Who Can I Nominate?

Depending on the award, you may nominate a professional, a team, or even an entire organization to recognize their work and accomplishments! Self nominations are also permitted and encouraged.

Some examples include a(n):

campus recruiter who responded in a creative way to a challenge or has found success in engaging students on social media
career centre team that is facilitating stronger connections between students from equity deserving groups and employers
senior leader whose vision has had a meaningful or transformational impact on our space
a tool or platform that is changing the way students engage in experiential education and skill building
piece of groundbreaking research that offers employers insight into how they can improve the candidate experience
CACEE member whose work on behalf of the association has been exceptional and left a lasting impact
Employer who has taken building their brand on campus to the next level or has demonstrated a commitment to growing the next generation of leaders
