The University of Waterloo operates the largest post-secondary school co-op program of its kind in the world with almost 16,000 students enrolled over three semesters. It is a model of co-operative education which has spread to more than 100 colleges and universities across Canada. Co-operative Education & Career Services (CECS) administers the co-operative education system and career-related services for the University of Waterloo. CECS staff functions as a liaison between students, employers, alumni, and the different faculties and departments within the University of Waterloo to help determine and facilitate employment opportunities.
The Account Manager is responsible for creating a strong employer experience and relationship with the University of Waterloo; specifically, for retaining co-op and graduating jobs with employers, and exploring opportunities for further job development with that existing employer. Working together with Student Advisors, Job Developers and Account Coordinators, the Account Manager creates and executes an account management plan designed to meet the employer’s needs and to have University of Waterloo (UW) become a talent management partner for the employer. |

An undergraduate degree or equivalent education or experience. Progressive experience in relationship/account management, recruitment and/or talent management roles with increasing levels of responsibility. Intermediate MS Office skills are required. Strong verbal and written communication skills with exceptional presentation abilities. Proven abilities to handle multiple priorities. Experience in management and leadership with a high degree of professionalism and a strong analytical and problem solving abilities. Working knowledge of Co-operative Education and Career Services, or a similar organization is essential.
