Job Description / Duties

SCOPE
Reporting to the Director, Counselling and Development, the incumbent manages the Career and Placement Services (CAPS) unit including the strategic and developmental aspects of the area.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the operations and service delivery of the Career and Placement Services unit including the Career Resource Center.
Hire, train, schedule, assign work, monitor, evaluate, and motivate unit personnel.
Lead future program design and development in regards to career related programs.
Conduct, analyze, and evaluate Career and Placement Services outcome programs; produce related research reports and deliver presentations.
Supervise, evaluate and research career outreach educational programs, services and workshops.
Liaise with Faculties, Student Services and other internal and external contacts.
Perform other duties in support of the operation of the unit.

Qualifications / Required Skills

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree and four to seven years of related work experience.
Good spoken and written English and French (Level 4) in order to communicate effectively and to draft correspondence, documentation, and reports.
Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated knowledge of job market trends, recruiting practices and career development research.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deal sensitively with individuals.
Strong planning, organizing, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a team environment.
Aptitude to work in a service-oriented environment as both a member of a team an independently.
Ability to lead a team and foster a positive team environment.

Salary: $70,827.49 – $78,253.35 – $82,179.75 per annum
