You will be expected to work hard, develop and grow in order to manage a business through a three and a half year rigorous hands-on management development program. In return, Emco will provide you with a competitive compensation package (including a salary, benefits and profit sharing potential), on-the-job training, and the opportunity to manage your own business as a Profit Centre Manager.

To be eligible, you must be graduating from a university program or have graduated within the last 4 years.

Emco Corporation is one of Canada's leading national distributors of building products for the residential, commercial and industrial construction markets. Emco has leading market positions in each of its businesses, with opportunities for tremendous growth and is continually developing new methods to efficiently serve its growing customer base.

This management development position teaches candidates with little-to-no industry experience every aspect of the business. Trainees typically spend their first year in a Profit Centre learning shipping and receiving, counter sales, and operations management. They will spend their next two and a half years at a different Profit Centre learning inside sales, outside sales and general management.

Throughout the program on-the-job experience is supplemented with coaching by experienced mentors, customer visits and a variety of training courses. Upon successful completion from the program the trainee will have the opportunity to be promoted to Manager and assigned to a Profit Centre.
