We are seeking a dynamic leader who will help contribute to this growing environment. As a Manager, Career Coordinators you will ensure the Ryerson Career Centre’s central program provides exceptional career development opportunities, which take into account the distinct needs of Ryerson’s diverse student body. You will also oversee and deliver a high quality career consulting triage system for student appointments as well as adeptly steer the Centre’s Career Coordinator team to provide tailored and exceptional delivery within Faculties and develop strong relationships with internal and external partners, which benefit our students’, alumni and adult learners’ career development and recruitment opportunities.
Successful completion of a post-secondary degree program in a related field such as education, curriculum development, higher education administration or student affairs with a minimum of 5 years experience in the areas of customer relationship management and/or business development and 2 years supervisory experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience in providing services to and providing professional/career development opportunities for post-secondary students in a collaborative manner is required.
Experience in counselling and working with students as well as dealing with senior level executives would be considered an asset
Knowledge of Human Resources policies and practices in order to make hiring recommendations, promotional decisions, and recommending pay changes or termination for poor performance.
Demonstrated leadership skills are required in order to provide work direct to one or more employees, which includes instructing other employees in methods or procedures needed to carry out their job responsibilities.
A demonstrated commitment to client service specifically students, staff, faculty and external contacts.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, diplomacy, sensitivity and demonstrated professionalism are required to deliver presentations to large groups of people as well as facilitate resolution to issues.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective team-member; strong time management skills, ability to multi-task and flexibility are required to effectively prioritize and ensure completion of assigned work, to change priorities as the need arises and to work overtime as required by the demands of the position.
Salary: ($57,652 - $92,243)
