We seek a dynamic and innovative individual to actively contribute to this growing environment. As a Campus Engagement Coordinator, you will develop and deliver programs and other methods to provide our students with knowledge and opportunities to build their professional profile.

You will also create new employer relationships and ensure the Ryerson Career Centre’s employer relationships grow from strength to strength, providing our students, adult learners, and recent graduates with high impact career development and recruitment opportunities that take into account the distinct needs of Ryerson’s diverse student body.

Qualifications / Required Skills

The completion of a post-secondary degree or 4 years of specialized training is required for this position to gain analytical, organizational and communication skills required to carry out events coordination, engagement and marketing strategies, developing relationships with students, alumni and employers as well as, faculty and staff. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
At least 2 years’ experience in designing and coordinating events and programs, social media and other digital engagement strategies, conducting programs designed for specialized student populations.
Demonstrated ability to apply professional/specialist recruitment, industry and sector knowledge and experience to develop, maintain and strengthen relationships with external stakeholders to support the Centre’s employer engagement strategy
Demonstrated experience developing community-based experiential learning programs and recruiting employers for student co-curricular experiences and graduate recruitment opportunities.
Experience with meeting external relationship building targets, negotiating contracts and administering program budgets.
Expertise in career counselling with diverse youth populations is desirable.
Demonstrated experience in working with equity seeking groups within a career education setting and a commitment to upholding the values of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion as it pertains to the development of the Centre’s career education offerings.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective team-member; strong time management skills, ability to multi-task and flexibility are required to effectively prioritize and ensure completion of assigned work, to change priorities as the need arises and to work overtime as required by the demands of the position.
