Job Description / Duties

We seek a dynamic and innovative individual to actively contribute to this growing environment. As a Campus Engagement Coordinator, you will develop, deliver and review assigned recruitment offerings and career education programs aimed at connecting sector specific employers with students and faculty.

Additionally, you will support the sourcing of graduate recruitment and experiential learning opportunities by working collaboratively with employers, students, assigned faculty members, and assigned Campus Engagement and/or Career Education Specialist(s) to ensure alignment between the student’s experience, employer needs and Faculty curricula. As a member of the Career Centre team, you will engage in the development of Faculty-based Career Development Programs, the Centre’s core offerings, and labour market outreach strategies. Additionally, you will develop and implement career education programming tailored to the distinct needs of diverse student and alumni groups.

Qualifications

The completion of a post-secondary degree with at least 2 years’ experience in higher education, community development or graduate recruitment experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate events and programs, including the effective use of social media and other digital engagement strategies to enhance program delivery and efficacy.
Experience in applying industry and sector knowledge to initiate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Experience in evaluating service delivery methods and approaches along with effective liaison between students, employers and the University.
Knowledge of the labour market and graduate recruitment trends with the ability to interpret and communicate these trends to clients (students and alumni, faculty and employers)
Knowledge of issues related to employment barriers, workplace accommodation, and needs of a diverse client population (e.g., first generation, Aboriginal, adult learners, etc.)
An understanding of and willingness to engage in data collection, analysis, and on-going program evaluation as a central component of strategic planning and program development
Experience in using social media platforms as communication vehicles for promotional and educational purposes
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective team-member; strong time management skills, ability to multi-task and flexibility are required to effectively prioritize and ensure completion of assigned work, to change priorities as the need arises and to work overtime as required by the demands of the position.
