Job Description / Duties

We are currently recruiting for a Job Search Advisor to work with the Career Centre for this exciting temporary opportunity.

Do you possess at least 2 years’ of recent experience facilitating career and job search skills development? Do you possess knowledge of current job search strategies & methods? Do you possess enthusiasm for existing and emerging job search strategies as well as maintaining awareness of new developments in the field? Do you have excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, organization and decision making skills? If so, keep reading!

In this role, you will provide informed and responsive in-person job search support to students and recent graduates. This individual works as a member of the Career Development team to facilitate individual employment and job search advising and job search workshops. The Job Search Advisor will assist students with action plans and skills in order for them to be successful in their individual job search and in their broader career goals.

Qualifications / Required Skills

To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:
A University Degree, plus specialized training in job search strategies and career development or equivalent combination of education and experience. In addition, the successful incumbent will possess 2 years’ recent related experience facilitating career and job search skills development (e.g. advising students on job search skills, developing and delivering job search skills workshops, etc.) preferably working with students and new graduates in a fast-paced post-secondary environment.
