Category: EducationWe are currently recruiting for an Associate Director, Experiential Education in the Faculty of Education.
In this position, you will play a critical role in the delivery of quality experiential education to ensure an enriching and effective education experience for Faculty of Education students at both the undergraduate and graduate program levels. The Associate Director is responsible for building and sustaining collaborative relationships for the facilitation of student experiential education. The Associate Director is also responsible for activities related to experiential education including assessing current and potential experiential education opportunities, program planning, development and management, and overseeing the implementation of experiential education initiatives. The Associate Director supports the continued performance and growth of the experiential education components of Faculty of Education programs by ensuring the development of quality sites, assessment and quality assurance, experiential curricular compliance, and program administration.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:
A Bachelor’s degree in education or related field is required. Current expertise in K-12 (or equivalent) education and related work experience. Master’s degree in a related field is an asset. In addition to 5 years of teaching experience, minimum 3 years of leadership experience in the experiential education field, in particular with facilitating the introduction, management and evaluation of experiential education in an academic setting, including experience working with schools or community organizations and working with students in an experiential education setting.
