2020 National Conference Postponed

by CACEE, posted on March 13, 2020

Every year we look forward to this important time to connect, share and learn together.  As I’m sure you are aware, we are facing a unique global challenge with the introduction of the COVID-19 pandemic, sparking alarming global public health concerns. Today the risk of exposure in Canada is low but things are changing on a daily basis.

With this in mind, and after very careful consideration, we have decided to postpone our conference to a later date in the year to ensure we do our part to limit the spread of this virus, and to accommodate those who are facing current and anticipated travel restrictions prohibiting their attendance. We want to ensure we are able to continue our tradition of connecting, sharing and learning together, but at a time that is safe to do so.

We will be working with our venue in Ottawa to find a new date for our conference to take place after Labour Day and we will update you once a new date has been agreed upon.

To our partners, speakers and sponsors, we will be taking steps to reach out to each of you in the coming week to discuss next steps.

Those who are unable to make the future date will be offered a full refund.

We will be looking into the possibility of hosting a virtual AGM and will come back to you with further details on this once a date and format has been agreed upon.

We will be hosting a free series of round tables for those who would like to discuss what their institution/organization is doing to respond to this pandemic so we can learn from each other. Stay tuned for future communication around this.

We respect that many are getting information from a variety of sources but if you have any questions or specific concerns please contact CACEE National Office or at 416-915-3020 x 114.
