On behalf of the CACEE National Board of Directors, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Trevor Buttrum as our new Executive Director.  

In thinking about our intentions and wants for this key role in shaping the next chapter for CACEE, we were looking for a leader who will create and operationalize a collective vision and strategic direction for us as an association. 

Trevor has 15+ years of progressive experience and is a well-established leader in career development and campus recruitment.  Most recently, he has been the Director of Operations at TalentEgg and led a best-in-class national career education program on behalf of the Insurance Institute of Canada.  He is a highly skilled communicator and relationship builder, change maker, and is committed to providing the utmost in member experience to the CACEE community.

He has been an active volunteer with CACEE for over a decade with service on the National Board of Directors, Co-Chair of National and Regional Conferences, and as co-leader in developing the CACEE Competencies.  Trevor has been recognized with some of CACEE’s highest honours including the Moe Ktytor Award of Merit (2017) and the President’s Award (2020). 

In his new role, Trevor will be a critical voice and champion for CACEE both nationally and internationally. He will provide the day-to-day operational and strategic leadership required to provide outstanding programming, learning and development opportunities, networking events, and resources to our pan-Canadian community of Career Educators and Employers.

We are thrilled to welcome him on-board beginning on May 2nd, 2022.  Please join me in congratulating Trevor and sharing in my excitement about the future of CACEE under his leadership.
