The CACEE Knowledge & Idea Lounge is a series of three virtual roundtables designed to that brings together career educators and employers from across the country for a focused dialogue on topics influencing our work with post-secondary talent.
Each 60-minute session positions a timely topic in the context of today’s shifting career education and recruitment landscape, then opens space for breakout roundtables where participants can test ideas, surface challenges, and exchange resources. A shared digital platform captures the “golden nuggets” from the conversation, building a collective library of practices and tools.
On October 15 (12–1 pm ET), the series begins with Advancing Accessibility in Career Education, Campus Recruitment & the Workplace. Accessibility today means more than accommodations. It's about designing systems, events, and workplaces that allow all students and employees to thrive. This discussion will explore practical tools, inclusive approaches, and the realities of disclosure in career education and work.
October 16 (12–1 pm ET) focuses on Navigating Realities of Today’s Campus Recruitment & Career Education Landscape. With students engaging differently, anxiety on the rise, and employers rethinking strategies in a shifting economy, this session looks at how career educators and employers are adapting practices, fostering partnerships, and supporting sustainable student career pathways.
The series closes on October 17 (12–1 pm ET) with Supporting Indigenous Student Success in Post-Secondary Career Education & Recruitment. Success for Indigenous students is rooted in trust, accountability, and programming informed by Indigenous perspectives. This conversation highlights ways to strengthen relationships, design culturally grounded programs, and ensure employers play an active role in supporting Indigenous talent.
Whether you join one session or all three, you’ll connect with peers across the country, hear multiple perspectives, and leave with practical insights to bring back to your institution or organization.
CACEE members attend FREE. Non-member rates are $39 for an individual session or $69 for the full series, with organizational rates available for an unlimited number of colleagues to take part. Registrants who cannot attend live will still have access to the digital platform and takeaways from their sessions.
