2025 CoLab Symposium – Empowering Sustainable Career Pathways through Industry, Community and Post-Secondary Partnerships

The CACEE CoLab Symposium brings together career educators, employers, and leaders in our space for bold conversations, idea-sharing, and collaboration that sparks innovation!

This one-day event, hosted in proud partnership with the University of Toronto Scarborough on October 30th, is designed to meet the moment in the challenges presented by today’s labour market while remaining strategic in looking ahead to the workforce needs of tomorrow.

The program opens with a Plenary Session to set the stage for the day’s program and ignite the dialogue. Participants will then move into Hot Topic Roundtables, where emerging issues are unpacked, strategies are shared, and ideas are exchanged in smaller group conversations. The morning continues with a dynamic Panel Discussion, bringing together employer and career centre leaders to explore collaborative approaches to some of the most pressing influences in our field - from AI and inclusive talent pipelines to student engagement, economic drivers, skill development, and more!

The afternoon is all about highlighting practical tools, resources and applied strategies! A Resource & Platform Showcase will introduce solutions that strengthen engagement with students and employers, while the Ignite Sessions provide an opportunity for smaller-group workshops. The day concludes with a Closing Plenary, a collaborative wrap-up designed to help participants reflect, consolidate ideas, and identify opportunities to carry forward into both strategic planning and their daily work.

And, in true CACEE Fashion, networking and connection are woven throughout the day!
