Session Abstract:
Career Services at the University of Calgary has recently undergone a complete restructuring that has inspired a new look into the way that Employer Relations are handled. Building the team and creating a comprehensive vision, mission and values is key to the long-term success of the department. Research is showing that while businesses are spending less on campus recruitment, students are still going to campus career centres before looking elsewhere for employment opportunities. How do we work together to bridge this gap, so that the connections between students and employers can be facilitated in a way that benefits career centres, employers and students?
