The Value and Contributions of Career Services in the Modern Canadian University: A Research Perspective
Thursday, August 23rd, 12:00pm – 1:00pm EST (1 hour – webinar format) Presented by: Paul Smith, Executive Director, CACEE Abstract – What do career centres contribute to the modern university? What support and services should they offer? Do universities get it right? These are big, big questions at a time when students and their families demand more from our institutions. Of course, career professionals have their opinions, many of them quite different. In 2009, the Career Service Directors of a number of Ontario universities commissioned a review of the published research to determine what the literature described as the value of career services in higher education. The resulting document, titled University Career Centres Literature Scan: Review and Report makes for very interesting reading for those who work in the field.
On August 23rd at Noon EST Join us for a discussion of the findings of this important document, and to consider next steps in this research. Webinar Cost: Members – $235 (includes copy of report) $75 (webinar only) Non-members – $275 (includes copy of report) $110 (webinar only) To register for this webinar, please click here and complete the registration form. |
