CACEE and the 70th Anniversary of D-Day

posted on June 6, 2014

Greetings friends of CACEE - hoping this message finds you well  on this the 70th Anniversary of D-Day.

I would like to draw your attention to this excerpt from the CACEE History section of our website:

“CACEE originated in the aftermath of World War II when campus career advisors were appointed to assist substantial numbers of student veterans in their return to universities and colleges. Their role was to assist student veterans in the transition from soldier to student and maintain an effective relationship between the Department of Veteran Affairs and academic institutions.”

As you can see, CACEE owes its existence to those Canadians who stormed Juno Beach 70 years ago, and to their comrades in every theatre of the war. It is my pleasure and honour to ask you to join with me in noting this occasion, both solemn and joyous.

Sincerely,

Paul D. Smith
Executive Director
