We're looking for some great people to join our International Student Support Program (ISSP) team at our Care Access Centre.

We support international students, in their native language and cultural context and help resolve mental and physical health concerns, culture shock, adaptation to life in the US, and much more.

What being a Telephone Crisis Counsellor is all about
Our 24/7 Care Access Centre is where it all happens. Our Crisis Counsellor manage highly urgent or high-risk situations with clients who need immediate help. Taking care of our clients’ means assessing risk, stabilizing if it's a crisis, helping in a single-session, and providing resources. You'll work in a fast-paced, learning environment and get the support you need to take care of clients and succeed. Though not guaranteed, you'll likely make some great friends along the way.

Qualifications / Required Skills

A Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology, Social Work, or another clinical counselling field
Fluency in Arabic, Mandarin, Cantonese or Korean is a strong asset
Excellent risk assessment skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to a client needs
Strong clinical judgement and an understanding of your responsibilities with confidentiality
The flexibility to work shifts including days, evenings and/or weekends
