CACEE Career Educator Certificate Winter Session - Register Now!

CACEE is pleased to provide this professional development program which awards a Career Educator Certificate to participants upon completion.  The goal of the program is to provide participants with an introduction to the Career Educator role within the Canadian post-secondary context as a means to enhancing their professional development and opportunities within the field.

Upon the completion of this certificate, participants will have:

  • An understanding of the diverse roles of career educators and how each contributes to the career development  of students
  • An awareness of the role of career development programs and services within the institutional context
  • An appreciation of  what constitutes  comprehensive and effective service delivery
  • Exposure to the tools and resources that contribute to one’s professional expertise

The Career Educator Certificate Program consists of six Modules. 

  1. The Foundations of Career Education 
  2. Career Coaching and Counselling 
  3. Career Resources
  4. Employer Relations and Recruitment 
  5. Programs and Delivery 
  6. Work Integrated Learning and Experiential Education *new*

Timing and Format:

The Career Educator Certificate Modules are offered in webinar format and are all 1 hour in duration. 

Winter Session will be taking place starting February 2019 on the following dates (please click the date to register):

Module 1: Foundations - Thursday, February 7, 2019 (12:30-1:30pm EST)

Module 2: Career Resources - Thursday, February 21, 2019 (12:30-1:30pm EST)

Module 3: Employer Relations - Thursday, March 7, 2019 (12:30-1:30pm EST)

Module 4: Career Counselling and Coaching - Thursday, March 21, 2019 (12:30-1:30pm EST)

Module 5: Programs & Delivery - Thursday, April 4, 2019 (12:30-1:30pm EST)

Module 6: WIL/ Experiential Education - Thursday, April 18, 2019 (12:30-1:30pm EST)
