February 28 - May 2, 2023
This 4-part series profiles tools, resources and subject matter expertise focused on emerging trends and issues that are top of mind for employers and career educators. Topics include: mental health, experiential education, career navigation and future skills, and entrepreneurship.
The series will tap into the expertise of organizational partners like Jack.org, LinkedIn Learning, The Centre for Innovation in Campus Mental Health, and Riipen to provide concrete take-a-ways, access to the latest evidence-based practice, and learnings for participants to apply in their work with students, new graduates, and early career talent.
RBC Future Launch is proud to partner with Riipen to provide practical work experiences for all young people, preparing them for the future of work. Riipen brings industry and higher education together, with real world projects at companies. Projects are embedded directly into curriculum or completed as remote internships. This webinar will spotlight some of the most innovative projects on the Riipen platform, share lessons learned, and offer concrete approaches for creating meaningful experiential learning opportunities (beyond traditional co-op and internship) from the employer, student, and career educator vantage point.
The transition from post-secondary education to the world of work is an exciting milestone for young people. As with any major transition though, this change can be accompanied by significant stress.
This webinar is designed for adult allies who are supporting youth to navigate this transition in institutions and in workplaces. Led by RBC Future Launch and supported by panelists from Jack.org and the Centre for Innovation in Campus Mental Health (a program of the Canadian Mental Health Association), this webinar will feature programs, resources, and other learning opportunities CACEE members can access throughout the year aimed at supporting mental wellbeing for students as they launch into their careers.
This webinar will provide valuable insight into the future of skills and the importance of green skill development as Canada looks to successfully transition to Net Zero. Together with LinkedIn Learning, we will dive into green skill learning opportunities available for students, new grads, and early career talent via the LinkedIn learning platform.
RBC Future Launch is proud to partner with LinkedIn Learning to provide FREE access to LinkedIn Learning for youth to upskill for the career opportunities they want virtually from anywhere.
In 2021 "How to start a business", beat "How to get a job" in Google global search queries (Inc., 2021). In Canada, specifically, there has been a resurgence of entrepreneurship since 2014, driven mainly by younger and older Canadians, immigrants and women (BDC, 2019). While many young Canadians are interested in starting their own businesses often times they don't know where to start. This CACEE webinar is designed for career counsellors who are supporting youth interested in pursuing entrepreneurship as a career pathway. The webinar will provide an overview of free entrepreneurship programs and resources, supported by RBC Future Launch, available for young people. Additionally, in conversation with panelists from League of Innovators and Futurpreneur, this session will dive into some of the truths and misconceptions of entrepreneurship as a career pathway for young people.
