Who Should Attend -
The learning, conversation, and collaboration at the National Senior Career Leaders Symposium are anchored in strategy and leadership. To create an environment that fosters meaningful dialogue, interaction, and collaboration, we will limit registration to the most senior leader from each institution's career centre. For institutions with faculty-based career centres, the most senior leader from each centre is also encouraged to participate.
What to Expect -
The National Senior Career Leaders Symposium offers the opportunity for national engagement and professional development, while providing key opportunities for regional updates and discussions. Here's what you can expect from this event:
November 27: Option to participate in informal meet-ups and site tours in the afternoon, as well as an evening dinner and networking event to kickstart connections.
November 28: A full day of learning, discussion, and exploration focused on key topics including:
- Understanding and responding to the evolving needs of our students (including equity-denied and under-served student demographics)
- Innovative Programming and Operational Models
- Partnerships, Pathways and Revenue Generation
- Data, Metrics, and Evaluation in Career Services
November 29: A half-day of regionally focused updates and hot-topic discussions before a closing luncheon. You can also extend your day to include informal connections with regional career centres, employer engagement, or to discover the region!

Affordable Pricing -
The host institutions and steering committee are committed to keeping this event as financially accessible as possible. The rate structure is as follows:
- Super Saver: $199 (until October 18)
- Early Bird: $249 (October 19 – November 1)
- Standard: $299 (November 2 – November 22)
*Pricing includes the full symposium program, taxes, and all refreshment breaks, breakfast, and lunch on November 28th and 29th.
Accommodations -
We’ve secured an exclusive rate of $219.00 at the Delta Waterloo. Click here to reserve your room (space is limited, so reserve early!). Our room block has the flexibility to accommodate your travel schedule (whether you are driving, taking the train or arriving by air to Toronto, Hamilton or Waterloo) and is valid November 27th through to December 1st, 2024. Deadline to reserve your room at this rate is October 29th, 2024.
Cancellations & Event Policies -
CACEE, the host institutions, and the steering committee understand that from time to time work and life commitments may emerge that will result in your inability to attend the event. Should you need to make an adjustment to or cancel your registration, please e-mail the CACEE National Office at events@cacee.com We ask that you also please kindly note the following policies:
Cancellations
Cancellation requests received:
- Up to October 18th are eligible for a 100% refund minus a $25 administration fee.
- October 19th - November 1st are eligible for a 50% refund.
- No refunds will be issued after November 1st.
Other Event Policies
- If payment is not received prior to the opening of registration on-site at the event venue, CACEE reserves the right to cancel an attendee's/attendees' registration(s) without prejudice or liability.
- CACEE reserves the right at any time to change the event venue, topics or speakers, and to cancel the event without prejudice or liability, other than, except where a force majeure (which will have the same meaning as in the applicable contracts with the third party suppliers in connection with the event) event applies, a refund of the registration fees paid. If, because of a force majeure event(s), the CACEE National Board of Directors determines that the event needs to be cancelled, CACEE may deduct fees (determined by reference to the amounts which CACEE is required to pay to third parties under contracts entered into in connection with the event) to any and all refunds issued. Copies of the contractual arrangements with third parties, including the force majeure provisions of those contracts, can be made available to members on request.
- CACEE follows the guidance of local public health authorities and event venues in relation to health protocols and event policies. This includes but is not limited to any public health orders or venue requirements (e..g. masking, vaccination) in place prior to or that take effect during the event.
