Canada’s major media, and through them the public, have begun to focus attention on a set of questions with which educators and employers have been wrestling for some time – “Are we experiencing a skills shortage? If so, what can we do about it? If not, then what are we experiencing?”
The 2013 Ottawa Symposium on a Skilled Workforce will be held on Monday, April 29th, 2013 at the University of Ottawa, in Ottawa, Ontario. This event will bring together people who are working in the spaces where these questions resonate, so that we might define the challenge, and investigate potential responses. This year’s symposium promises to deliver an invaluable program focused on Skills Shortages and Youth Underemployment.

This years symposium is being hosted on the University of Ottawa campus in the heart of downtown Ottawa. Bounded by Laurier Avenue, Waller and Nicholas streets, the event will take place on the 12th Floor of The Desmarais Building, which is located in the North-West section of the campus.
